My Favorite Neighborhood in Castro Valley
November 19, 2019 at 8:34am | Mac Rogers
want to give you guys a tour of one of my favorite neighborhoods in Castro Valley. Columbia. Columbia was developed around the end of the 70s. All of the homes in the development are single family homes. Many homes have spectacular canyon or bay views.
The development is surrounded by the East Bay Regional Park district.
I particularly enjoy the 2 hiking trails at the top of Columbia. One goes for 4 miles that loops you back down to the entrance of the subdivision and the other drops you at Redwood Road by the golf course. There’s also a park (Deer View Park) in the neighborhood
where you will find a pool for the enjoyment of homeowners and also a playground and basketball court. Columbia offers all the benefits of living in a metropolitan area and yet still feel like coming home to a peaceful park like environment at the end
of the day.
What about you? What’s your favorite neighborhood in Castro Valley?
